Rodolphe "Rudy" Bousquet : Guitars

The story begins in June 77. The album "Made in Japan" by Deep Purple and "Alive1" by Kiss in his pocket, he suddenly decided to start playing the guitar.

One of his friends offers him to join his brother (Hammond organ) and one of their friends (bass) because their guitar player had left. The group is called Kosmos (the K pursues him). They play some kind of a pretty modern (at that time) progressive rock, and it was quite technical. The guys were play well, they were not god, but they did make it well ! And here he is, making his debut in this ephemeral band ! First scenes, first equipment problems .... This will last one year.

Then he joins a band called Darkness. They play the same kind of progressive rock, but more heavy than technical, as King Crimson's. They team up for three years, Rudy holds up the rhythm guitar, but two of the band's member had to move in three months ... the end !!!

We are in 1981, and he does not really know what to do !!! Thierry has released an album with Elixir, and Rudy is proud of it !!! He has been listening to it, he has been poring it over, and .... nothing to say .... it is very impressive !!!!

And it is at this period that he has the will to play harder, heavier !!! By 82, he decides to found Hustly Hard Heartles with friends !!! It's a 80's kind of metal, heavily influenced by Black Sabbath and Dio !!! He is still playing the rhythm guitar.

In 1985, after several gigs - it must be said that at that time there were more opportunities - the band breaks up, tired of not finding any deal for at least a demo recording !!! A year later, he rolls in a band called Transit, which makes French Rock with a little Supertramp touch. Radical change of scenery. In this he "gets back" his old accomplice from 3 H, Bruno Branchereau, an incredible drummer !!! But this time he plays as the soloist. Rudy remains in the band until 88, and then joins Medium with his friend, still as a soloist !!! The music is strongly influenced by Floyd and Saga, and the group is skilfully headed by Manu Pitois, that we will find later on keyboards on the album "Strafe the Underdogs".

The band will stop in 92 for musical differences.

In 93, Thierry offered him to raise a band based on guitars, just as Wishbone Ash did, with Bruno Branchereau on drums and François Mazetier on bass (current bass player for Kob). The band is called Décade and plays a strong Rock/Melodic Hard Rock, but here again, there is no singer !!! So by mutual agreement, they go in search of the Holy Grail !!! They finally recruit Romu, an angry and demanding singer !!! The marriage goes well, the band is playing a Hard Rock n 'Roll, very hard in fact !!! The two guitars marry well, bass and drums are really strong, and the singer is screaming his hatred to his microphone !!!

There are not a lot of gigs, but they still manage to do without it, and they even set a small tour in Britain and Vendée !!! They even started the recording of an album, but the band separates in 96, leaving no time for the singer to record his vocals !

Déviance is born from this separation and is made up of Bruno Branchereau, François Mazetier and Rudy !!! Déviance thus recruits a singer and goes and sell its hard Rock'n'roll almost everywhere it can !!! The style is very varied, close to Rory Gallagher and Deep Purple, but anyway, energy is still there, until the day when ........ Bruno announces that he moves to Toulouse for professional reasons !!! The blow is hard, very hard !!!

Bruno had been "banging" for some 16 years with Rudy, who therefore decides to stop everything, and to enter in a deep musical lethargy.

During this “temporal break”, he meets again with Stephane Graziani, an old long lost pal !!! Stéphane tells him that he has been singing for some 20 years and offers him to listen to a two-tracks record he has been recording with Nightreaper, and then ..... Rudy is dazed !!!! He brings Stéphane to rehearse with Thierry, who was looking for a singer, and the deal is sealed !!!!

After a first demo recorded at the Opus studio, the accomplices decide to call upon a second guitarist … the best one for it being Rudy… we are in March 2000.
